What
are the responsibilities of the host studio?
The host studio is responsible for Sebastian’s travel
and lodging expenses during the training. This includes
reimbursement for air, bus, or train travel to and from
the host studio. Sebastian is happy to stay in a private
residence, as long as privacy is provided.
The
host studio is responsible for providing the proper space
and equipment for the course. The host studio must have
one professional Pulley-Tower Combination Unit per three
participants in the GYROTONIC®
foundation course, as well as mats and seats for the GYROKINESIS®
course.
Host
studios are asked to help fill these courses. Sebastian
aims for a minimum of six people for a GYROTONIC®
course, and a minimum of ten for a GYROKINESIS®
course. For other workshops or review courses, the number
of attendees required can be agreed upon between Sebastian
and the host studio personally. All prospective participants
must eventually register through Plettenberg Movement by
phone, mail, or email, unless special arrangements are made.
If the course is not filled one month prior to the start
date it may be cancelled or rescheduled for another date
when the course can be filled. All registered participants
will be notified by the host studio, as well as Plettenberg
Movement, that the course may be cancelled and their deposits
refunded.
Is
the host studio charged for the course?
No.
How
will the host studio recover the costs of hosting a course?
The host studio may charge the participants a fee to cover
the costs of hosting the course. Usually, host studios charge
each participant an extra $200 to $500 for the
GYROTONIC® course, and an extra
$100 to 200 for the GYROKINESIS®
course. Host studios may determine the amount charged to
each participant, asking for more or less depending on their
needs and costs. Host studios are asked to notify Sebastian
of the studio fee, so that he can notify prospective participants
of the total costs.
